Our Vision

Timeless beauty in our liturgy and music.
Encouragement and compassion in our mission.

Our Mission

We take our ethos from St Barnabas himself who is known as the ‘beacon of encouragement’ or ‘son of consolation’.  We therefore believe that our primary aim is to be a place of outreach through encouragement and compassion.

We celebrate and promote our heritage and our foundational role in the Catholic movement within the Church of England. We are committed to the highest standards in music and liturgy and to nurturing people of all ages in their faith, but especially younger people.

We wish to encourage as many people as possible to worship at our church and to become part of our parish community at St. Barnabas Jericho and St Thomas the Martyr.

We want people in our parish to experience the richness of our Anglican Catholic faith through:

  • worship and prayer;

  • teaching and learning;

  • pastoral care;

  • a culture of welcome

  • generosity to those who struggle socially or financially
